Authorities recently carried out an operation in downtown Los Angeles in hopes to target vendors that were selling alcohol illegally. More specifically in Grand Park and L.A Live, which are extremely popular tourist areas. The operation resulted in the confiscation of hundreds of alcoholic beverages along with the arrest of eight people in total. Commander Lillian L. Carranza of the Central Bureau of the Los Angeles Police Department shared pictures of the alcoholic beverages on social media. In the posts we could see a variety of alcoholic beverages such as beer, tequila, whiskey, and other alcoholic beverages. Commander Carranza emphasized the dangers of purchasing alcoholic beverages from unlicensed vendors to the public, emphasizing their lack of regulation. Ultimately, we hope to see a decline in illegal sales of alcoholic beverages in the future after this action, promoting a more controlled and safe environment for consumers.
