by | Oct 21, 2013 | alcohol beverage law

A new announcement was just posted on the TTB website ) regarding submissions prior to the shutdown.

The announcement states as follows:

The government shutdown may have affected your Formulas Online submissions and COLAs Online applications. Read on to learn how the rules for automatic date-based status changes in both online systems may have affected recent submissions to these TTB Online systems.

Formulas Online

Formulas Online has rules for automatic date-based status changes for the following:

Beverage Formula Submissions with “Needs Correction” Status

Beverage Formula submissions that were in a “Needs Correction” status for 30 days or more were automatically cancelled. These records remain in the Formulas Online database and the status will be reverted back to “Needs Correction.” TTB will add 21 days to the status date for ALL applications that were in a “Needs Correction” status during the shutdown.

TTB expects to implement this change over the weekend and will post any changes to that plan on TTB.gov.

Nonbeverage Formulas, Riders, and User Registrations with “Needs Correction” Status

There are no automatic status changes for Formula Rider, Nonbeverage Formula, or User Registration submissions.

All Submissions with “Draft” Status

All submissions that were in a “Draft” status for 30 days or more were automatically cancelled. These records remain accessible to the user and can be copied, updated, and submitted to TTB for review.

COLAs Online

COLAs Online has rules for automatic date-based status changes for applications that have one of these statuses:

Applications with “Needs Correction” Status

Applications that were in the “Needs Correction” for 30 days or more were automatically rejected. These records remain in the COLAs Online database and the status will be reverted back to “Needs Correction.” TTB will add 21 days to the status date for ALL applications that were in a “Needs Correction” status during the shutdown.

TTB expects to implement this change over the weekend and will post any changes to that plan on TTB.gov.

Applications with “Saved but not Submitted” Status

All applications that were in a “Saved but not Submitted” status for more than 30 days were deleted from the database and are not recoverable. These applications will need to be re-created and submitted to TTB for review.
